Wonderful Surprises…

Hello my dear friends,

I hope you had the magical wonders and great feasting over the Christmas period.
This year, hubby and myself wanted a quiet Celebration. So, is just the two of us and we get to cook for each other. I did mine on the eve and he made me Christmas dinner. It was so Yummy. Thumbs up for the lovely beef and potatoes.

And we had a wonderful time opening up our lovely Christmas gifts given by many friends. Thank you so much for brightening up our Christmas Morning.
20131225_105212There is a lovely package from Nyansan from Germany. She is so generous with all the yummy chocolates. My hubby kind of snatch all of them from me. LOL. he’s the chocolate monster in the Household.

And the many Hello kitty stickers. LOL, from my swap Friends. Love them all.
20131225_112737Pretty notebooks to pin down those memories and thoughts.
20131225_112800Some crafty items, cross stitch kits, snugly yarn, pretty rubber stamp and colorful embroidery threads. There’s 36 skeins in it. OMG! That’s really for many embroidery projects to come.

A lovely hand-made Christmas Star from Avis over at Oh Sew Tempting

I also had a great time over at the Popin Craft Exhibition. If you recall earlier, I had submitted an art work and now is exhibiting in the Art House. How wonderful to see many talented pieces too. I’ve taken some of the pictures as below, please enjoy the many inspirational pieces.

Don’t you agree that this is so kawaii?
By the wonderful textile artists.

This piece is on Pulled thread. I simply love it.

A cute froggy from Azura Chan. This is so pretty and neat. Well done for your submission. I wished you could come by and see it for yourself too.

A pretty Fairy cross-stitch. Ahhh.. I can feel the romance in the air. 20131225_142813

A very well-stitched cat in front of the Sewing Machine. This is a well-like piece by the security Guard whom I spoken to.

On the other side of the wall, finally I spotted mine. Do you know which one is it?
Yay.. you got it…. I send in the Life is… work.
20131225_142901And my favourite pieces are the two grand pieces as below, which I think they are very well designed.
The cute birdy one is not cross-stitched but using paint. Well drawn and painted on. I love the idea.
The Girl in blue has a background of blackwork (stitched in blue). Is really an awesome piece.

Before I leave you today. I want to share with you a lovely video which I think may be of interest to many animation-lovers out there (click on title/image to video link).

  1. I bet you had a wonderful Christmas although it was just the two of you. Sometimes we prefer a quiet celebration. Wow, you made it to the exhibition. I have to agree with you that there are so many beautiful and creative submissions from the participants. And yours is beautiful too. Hopefully we can join again next year.

p/s: I wonder have you receive my parcel yet?
